How To Buy
Montro Collectibles makes high-end luxury watches accessible to a broad audience. We nonetheless explicitly ask that you only participate in Montro Collectibles if you have prior experience with crypto assets and non-custodial wallets. We encourage you to read up on managing your self-hosted wallet safely and securely here and here.
(If you are already using MetaMask as your self-custodial wallet and have sufficient ETH and USDC available you may skip steps 1-3)
Step 1: Set up MetaMask
Install MetaMask
Install the Metamask extension on your web browser (recommended) or download the MetaMask app on your phone.
Create wallet
Create a new wallet and set a strong password. Follow each step provided by MetaMask thoroughly. Make sure to store your seed phrase in a secure location. The seed phrase is a set of 12 or 24 words that can be used to restore your wallet. It's crucial to keep it safe and private.
Non-custodial wallet safety
Please be aware once more that MetaMask is a non-custodial wallet, which means you have full control over your funds and private keys. It's important to note that you are solely responsible for safeguarding your wallet and its contents.
Step 2: Fund your MetaMask wallet with Ethereum (ETH) to pay for transactions
Open MetaMask
Once your wallet is set up, click on the MetaMask extension icon in your browser and open the wallet. If on your mobile phone, open the MetaMask app.
Choose payment method
Both desktop and mobile versions offer a wide range of payment methods, including Google Pay, credit card, and local methods such as iDEAL in the Netherlands.
- Browser extension: click on “Buy”. You will be directed to portfolio.metamask.io/buy/. Select your region and preferred payment method.
- Mobile app: click on “Buy ETH”. Select your preferred payment method.
Purchase Ethereum
Purchase the amount of Ethereum (ETH) you need. Please be aware that all transactions on the blockchain (also known as gas fees) are paid in ETH. We recommend having at least 0.05 ETH (approx $90) in your wallet to pay for the transactions on Montro Collectibles. Learn more about gas fees.
Receive Ethereum
Depending on your selected payment method, it may take some time before you receive your ETH in your wallet.
Step 3: Fund your wallet with USDC to participate in the NFT sale
Open MetaMask
Click on the MetaMask extension icon in your browser and open the wallet. If on your mobile phone, open the MetaMask app.
Choose payment method

Purchase USDC
Purchase the amount of USDC you need for the sale.
Receive USDC
Depending on your selected payment method, it may take some time before you receive your USDC in your wallet.
Step 4: Navigate to Montro Collectibles
Visit Montro Collectibles
Open a new tab in your browser and go to Montro Collectibles' website https://collectibles.montro.com/patek-philippe-nautilus.
Connect Wallet
On Montro Collectibles' website, click on the "Connect Wallet" button. MetaMask will prompt you to authorize the connection. Review the permissions and click "Connect" to establish the connection.
Select NFT
Explore the available NFTs and choose the one you want to purchase. Make sure to read the description and terms associated with the NFT.
Step 5: Purchase the NFT
Initiate Purchase
After connecting your wallet, navigate to the NFT you wish to purchase and click on the “buy” button.
Approve Spend
A MetaMask window will pop up, asking for approval to spend USDC. Select the amount required or use the “default” option in MetaMask.
Confirm Transaction
A second MetaMask window will pop up, showing the details of the transaction. Verify that the NFT details and the transaction cost are correct.
Finalize Purchase
Click "Confirm" in MetaMask to initiate the transaction. Wait for the transaction to be processed. Once confirmed, the NFT will be transferred to your wallet's address.
Step 6: View and manage your NFTs
Go to Montro Collectibles
Navigate to the website of Montro Collectibles.
View NFTs
In the top menu, select “myNFTs” to view your acquired NFTs.
Manage NFTs
You can manage, sell, or transfer your NFTs using the options available in MetaMask.
Remember to exercise caution while buying NFTs and ensure the authenticity and credibility of the platform and the NFTs you are purchasing. Additionally, be mindful of transaction fees, as they can vary depending on network congestion.
